As the name suggests, this house was the original stable block for nearby Caddleton farmhouse and this sensitive conversion now provides comfortable and spacious accommodation for eight people. Recently refurbished, the house is modern and comfortable whilst still retaining much of its traditional character and warmth. The Stables has full oil-fired central heating.
The accommodation is all on one floor – the entrance hall leads into a spacious and open plan living area comprising a modern and comprehensively equipped kitchen, dining area and large sitting room where there is an open fire and patio doors overlooking the sea.
There are four bedrooms; a double with 5ft bed, two twin rooms and a bunk-room with full-size bunks. All the rooms have fitted wardrobes. There is a shower room with wash-hand basin and toilet, and a bathroom with shower over bath, wash-hand basin and toilet.
Stables is just a hundred metres or so from the shore and the view from the main rooms is westward over Ardmaddy Bay and beyond. Sunsets are a speciality here! The garden is enclosed and spacious and through the gate you have access to easy walking along the shore road, or a little more strenuous up on to the hill tracks
Upstairs the former granary forms The Stables’ own games room with a small pool table and table tennis table. There is also a small seating area.
